Moving...again...

I know some of you have been wondering about our upcoming move, and what is happening. In April, Craig started work in Roosevelt as a contract pumper. He works up there for 8 days, staying with his brother, and then comes home for 6 days and then returns for another 8 days and so on. It has been a strain on both of us.  It is hard for him to be away from the family and it is hard for me to be a single mom half of the time. You might be saying, Megan, why didn't you just move straight to Roosevelt? Well, our house here in Spanish Fork has had renters in it for too long without any real TLC and it was in pretty bad shape. So, in our "spare-time" we have been fixing it up and getting it ready for renters again. It has been a pretty rough few months for everyone, it seems like there isn't enough hours in the day to get everything done.

A month ago, we found a house in Roosevelt that we were interested in. I drove up and we went to see it, and made an offer that night. The house has been in underwriting for a LONG time, and as of today, we have all the proper paper-work and information we needed to close. This morning, Craig was hired on as a full-time employee of Crescent Point (the company he was previously contracting for) and we can now go ahead with the home purchase. HOPEFULLY, we will be moving before the end of the month, though there is no promise of that yet, just high hopes :)

If anyone knows of anyone looking for a place in Spanish Fork, I have a cute 3 bedroom for rent, available August 1st :)

One year ago...

On Saturday, June 15th, marked 1 year ago that my dear dad left this world for a better one...
I miss him so much. He was a wonderful man.

One of my favorite pictures of Dad :)

Father's Day in Manti

Usually I make it a tradition to go to Manti on Mother's Day to visit my mother's grave. This year, I just couldn't do it. So, on Father's Day, I took the kids and we went down to visit. Here are the kids at my mom and dad's graves.

The Manti cemetery holds a lot of special meaning to me. In the early days of the church, my ancestors came across the plains, and settled in Manti. This monument is to Fredrick Walter Cox, my 5th great grandfather, who helped settle Manti and laid one of the cornerstones of the Manti temple.

This stone is my grandfather's. He served in the US Navy during WWII.

The cemetery is full of my ancestors, and I love to go there.

This is the other reason I love to go there. To see the temple. My mother and father were married here in 1977. Craig and I were married here in 2002. Craig's parent serve as temple workers here 2 days a week. It holds special meaning for me. I love this temple.

Logan in the sand too...

It's a fort!

Yogurt mishap

Nathan is ALWAYS into EVERYTHING! He is one busy little boy.  This is what happens if the table isn't cleared immediately after we eat... Did any of that yogurt make it in his mouth?

Logan the big helper

Recently I have been doing a lot of sewing. I was reupholstering 4 little chairs for a friend this day (you can see one in the background) and Logan wanted to help. So, I gave him a piece of material and my pins, and he "helped" me pin material for a long time.

Here he is helping Uncle David make a berry cheesecake for Father's Day.

This little man LOVES to help :)
