Huntington Reservoir

Craig and I had this great idea to take the kids into the mountains, and have a fire and roast marshmallow and cook hotdogs, and catch some fish. A few years back, we had camped here, and had a wonderful time. We were really excited to go back. 

However, as we started up the mountain, it seemed to be getting colder and colder...not really unusual, but a little concerning.  By the time we reached the summit, it was snowing. These pictures don't give you a real feel for how cold it was, but Ally's face does...

That is FRESH snow on the ground. It actually snowed a few times in the hour or so that we were there.

Spanish Fork Reservoir

We took the kids up to the Spanish Fork Reservoir. The last time Craig took the kids up, Logan caught 3 and each of the girls caught 1. This trip wasn't as fruitful, but the kids had fun.

  

Logan didn't catch anything but a whole lot of "sea-weed" aka algae.

Livy was the only one to catch a fish. It was about 5 inches long... we let it go.

What a handsome honey. That hat and that fishing pole is one of the great reasons why I fell in love :)

Logan says, "Mom, can I have a banana?" I say sure, and this is what I find when I walk into the kitchen.  Cute little monkeys :)

Sprinkler fun

The other day, we went over to play at the school across the street. As we were walking through the gate, the sprinklers came on, and the kids immediately asked if they could play in them. I told them, maybe on the way back home. Well, about 2 minutes later, I looked at all their faces and they were beet red and I figured a run through the sprinklers would cool them down nicely. They had a blast.

Golden Rule

Ally says, "Mom, Logan hit me, so I hit him to help teach him the Golden Rule!"

...Perhaps we have a good idea for a Family Home Evening lesson coming up...

The Big Move

Well friends, it's official!
We are officially moving back to Utah! As of April 1st, we will be living in our rental house in Spanish Fork. It is just a temporary stop on the way to the Uintah Basin... Roosevelt to be specific. Craig will hopefully be starting a new job up there shortly after we get back. We are thrilled to be coming home, and can't wait to see all of our old friends and family!
