Mommy Cinderella

The last month, I have spent a lot of time at our house in Provo. We had some renters move out unexpectedly, and they left behind an a rather LARGE and unexpected mess....

Anyway, today I went up around 10:00 to finish up cleaning the kitchen. At about 1:00, Craig (and the kids) came up to trade me places, then he would clean and I would go home with the kids.

Well, I wasn't quite finished, and since daddy and the kids had brought a treat, while I was scrubbing filth off of cabinet doors and drawers, they sat down picnic style on the floor in the living room to enjoy their sweet treat.

While they were enjoying the powdered mini doughnuts (and I was slaving away in the kitchen), Logan in his excitement, dumped the whole box on the floor....there was a little commotion, then Olivia (bless her little heart) says,

"Mom, come clean this up...."

Oh, the life of a mother. :)

Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad

Here is a favorite of mine-

The recipe came from a recipe book called "Top Secret Recipes".
I have been working on perfecting the recipe now for a few years,
and I think I finally got it right.
For all of you Applebee's fans,

ENJOY!!

For Salad- Mix:

3 C. Romaine Lettuce torn into bite-size pieces
½ Head of Nappa Cabbage
1 Carrot –shredded
1 Green Onion –sliced thin (optional)

Top Greens with:

2 Breaded Chicken Breasts (cooked and sliced)
Sliced Almonds
Chinese Noodles

For Dressing, Mix:

4 T. Mayo
3 T. Honey
1 T. White Vinegar
1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
¼ tsp. Sesame Oil

Valentine's Day Dinner

We figured that half of the fun of Valentine's is how fun the kids think it is. We decided that we would have a fun dinner with them...you know, candlelight, fancy dishes and a tablecloth.
It was lots of fun.

Successful

I have one child that is constantly making us laugh with the things she says... Here is Olivia trying to say the word "Successful".

Do I have something on my face?

So, we have discovered one of Logan's great loves....
Chocolate.

(If you can't tell, that is a chocolate hand-print on the side of his face....)

St. George Trip

Here are a few pictures from our trip to St. George this weekend. What fun we had in the sun!

The St. George Temple.

Miniature golfing with the kids. Logan tries his hand.. :)

Ally our professional golfer. She did really well for a first time golfer.

Olivia gave up after about 10 holes....she was tired...and hungry...

This is how she played the last 8 holes. :)

Kids say the cutest things.

So, we spent a lovely weekend in St. George this weekend. It was warm and sunny and wonderful. When we got there, Ally says, "Mom! They have Hula Trees!" (aka palm trees) :) I didn't correct her, because I thought it was so cute.

Olivia says to me the other day, "Mom, I really like this shirt with high sleeves, not long sleeves."
