Tornado

For any of you watching the news about the tornado in MISSISSIPPI, not to worry, we are fine. The tornado hit quite a bit north of us, and mostly in Alabama and Georgia....Though it was SUPER windy yesterday driving home from Florida- I have pictures to post soon of the beautiful Florida beach.

One last picture

If you were ever curious what happens when you apply aerosol sunscreen in the wind, this is it. It has a lovely marbling effect. This is Craig and my brother David after we got home from the beach today. They are flexing thier muscles so they don't feel quite so silly :)

Biloxi MS Beach

Here is our cute OIivia burried in the sand. :)

Can you believe that they let us burry them? All four of them were accomodating!

(Left to right, Ally, Olivia, Tristan and Andrew.)

Craig.

(I think he had just as much fun as the kids did. :)

Daddy and Logan. Aren't they cute?

All the kids. Olivia, Ally, Tristan and Andrew, with Logan in front.

Trip pictures....

Here are a few shots from the trip.

This is Logan, a little grumpy on the last day of our travels. He threw his 'lamby' into the toilet at the motel that morning and consequently, he had to ride the rest of the way without it, and this is the direct result. :)

This is Craig and Logan at the Navajo Bridge over Green River.

Olivia and Grandma Laing and Great Aunt Lila. They were fast friends.

Amarillo by morning...

Today is our 3rd big day of traveling.....So far so good.... Saturday we drove 15 1/2 hours, from St. George to Amarillo Texas. Sunday we drove 10 hours, from Amarillo to Shreveport Louisianna. This morning, we leave Louisianna and make our final stretch into Mississippi.....we should be there by dinner time....YAHOO!! I have to tell you that the whole time we have been driving into, and through Texas, I have been singing songs like, 'Amarillo by morning', and 'All my ex's live in Texas' in my mind. And one more small thing- a HUGE thanks to my friend Tara- who loaned my some fabulous books on tape, the have saved us from 3 days of endless boredom! We have really loved them. We are almost done with book 4! I will have more and some pictures in a few days.

Flower Girls

Do you remember when you were young and you could sit forever on the counter in the bathroom and play with your hair, trying out new hairstyles and parting it on the wrong side, just to see how you looked? Well, Ally has reached that stage, and this is her latest hairstyle invention, modeled on herself and on little Olivia.

Sleepy Boy...

Some cute shots of Logan sleeping peacefully.

This is one of Logan at our friends cabin, poor thing couldn't keep his eyes open any more.

You did what?

Do you ever have one of those days where you just have to laugh? Today was one of those days for me. It all started out this morning just after breakfast. Olivia (bless her little heart) had just finished her cereal, and I asked her to take her bowl to the sink. A few moments later, I hear the crash, and I look to see cereal remnants and milk splattered all over the walls, the floor, the table, the chairs and her own legs and feet. I said to her, "Olivia, what were you doing?" She replies, with great surprise, "I was just carrying my bowl in my teeth and it fell!"....

Okay, so I wasn't ready to laugh yet, but then....

We had a family dinner, and as my brother and his family were leaving, I was standing on the porch and noticed chalk drawings all over the front of the house....I asked, "Who did this?" Ally immediately says, "It wasn't me...It must have been Olivia!"...... Oh, that's right, you were framed by your 2 year old sister....who coincidentally can't reach that high, and doesn't know how to write....

Still not ready to laugh at this point, but then.....

As the girls were getting ready for bed, Ally is brushing her teeth. When she is done, she comes into the kitchen with a very forlorn look on her face and says, "Mom, while I was brushing my teeth, I accidentally spit into the DRAWER!!" It was at that point that I just had to laugh.....

Sometimes it's a little bit of HUMOR that gets us through the day. And thank goodness, I have 3 wee ones who lend me plenty of humorous moments.

April Conference

I always enjoy General Conference, because it always seems to leave me spiritually filled and ready to face whatever life gives to me. One of my favorite talks was

by Lynn G. Robbins of the Seventy. As a parent, we always need uplifting, and this talk was amazing! I share it with you, because I was so impressed by it. It made me feel like I can do this parenting thing, and I can do it better than I am currently. It made me want to be a more Christ-like mother, filled with more love, more patience and more of the spirit of the Lord. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. If you don't want to watch the 10 minute clip, text will be available to read on Thursday at lds.org.

That's a BIG egg....And other Easter excitement.

This egg (on the right) was laid by one of our CHICKENS!
I feel sorry for that chicken...poor thing. But WOW that egg is a meal all by itself!

And in other news, while we thought that we had 2 GIRL bunnies, it turns out, we don't....(apparently, bunnies are difficult to decipher while they are little)
And as you can probable guess, with a mommy AND a daddy bunny,
we have MORE baby bunnies. :)
No pictures yet, but rest assured the cute little fluffs of fuzz
will be making their blogging debut soon enough.
