Olivia's not so quiet book...
So yesterday in church, they were passing the sacrament, and it was as quiet as I think I have ever heard it in the chapel. Olivia was silently working on the quiet book that I made her for Christmas. (She has spent the last few weeks working on the buttons page without any success.) When out of the quiet, she yells "I DID IT!!!" with pure excitement. I think that everyone in the room turned to look at her, and I was a little concerned, until all of the faces were saying silently, 'how cute'. It was really cute actually, and she was just proud of herself for fastening a button for the first time. It reminded me of a time when Ally was small like that, and the situation was the same. We were sitting in church as they were passing the sacrament, and all was quiet. She had a little toot, and said "excuse me". When no one responded, she said it agian, with still no response, so in frustration, she yells, "I TOOTED!" Everyone started to laugh, even the bishop on the stand was snickering. It was funny to everyone else, but I was mortified. What would life be like without kids to make us laugh.... :)

Logan's First Tooth
Another small milestone to remind us that children grow too quickly, while we aren't even paying attention. Logan got his first tooth today. Where did the last 6 months go? It seems like I was just bringing him home from the hospital. Now he sits, and rolls, and sleeps through the night. He is such a sweet child, we are surely blessed to have him.

20 MINUTES!!!!
So friends, On Saturday morning, I set out for my morning run, thinking that there was no way that I could do what I was supposed to do. Up until this point, the longest that I had run was 8 minutes (without stopping). Well, I was fairly certain that I wouldn't be able to do the 20 minutes that I was supposed to do, but I did!!! Yahoo!!! I ran 1.6 miles in 20 minutes, and I feel pretty good about it. I am half way to my goal of 3.1 miles, with 5 more weeks to go.

How did this happen?
So do you ever see something, and wonder how did that happen, or when did this happen? Like when I was looking at the walls around the table today and wondering how long all the little food-fingerprints had been ALL OVER?
Well, today, I saw somethings funny that would explain a few things I have been wondering about. I was feeding the baby in the chair in his room, and watching Olivia finish her snack at the dining room table. When she was finished, she climbed down from her chair, and I was about to say, "Olivia, you need to wash your hands and your face?" but I thought I would see what she would do. She walked right over to the drawer where we keep the washcloths, pulled it open with very sticky hands- (explanation #1- how do the cupboards get so dirty). She then pulled out a washcloth, wiped her hands, and face, then carefully laid it on the floor, folded it neatly and put it back in the drawer. (explanation #2- how do dirty towels get in the drawer).
At least she is tidy...it was folded very nicely.

Summer-time Strawberry Cheesecake Treats
So I am sure that many of you know that I love Cheesecake. This is a little bite of Cheesecake, without all the TONS of calories, and FAT (that is not to say by any means that this is "diet" food, it just means it is a small bit of treat, that is completely satisfying without needing to eat an entire cheesecake, I mean piece of cheesecake, I would never eat an entire cheesecake... :)
If anyone wants to try it, here is the recipe:
Blend until super smooth:
2 Pkg Cream Cheese
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/4 C. Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Vanilla
Spread on Graham Crackers and top with sliced strawberries.
You will be pleasantly surprised how good this is,
and not heavy and rich like real cheesecake can be.

Summer, Summer, Summer!!!
With all of our warm weather lately, we went out and bought a small pool for the kids (and Dad) to play in. A fun time was had by all, although, Ally is just like her mommy and doesn't like to be splashed, dunked, or get water in her face... I know, that kinda takes the fun out of swimming, but it is what it is.

Empowerment
Well friends, I did it! It is very empowering to do something that you didn't think that you could do. I started week 4 of the 5K training today, and to be totally honest, last night I looked at what I was supposed to do, and I didn't think I could do it. I have gone from running 60 seconds at a time, to today, running 5 minutes at a time. I feel great, and I am happy with my accomplishments. Thanks to all of my runner friends, Heather, David, and of course my hubby Craig for all of the encouragement, it would have been infinitely harder without you. Good luck to Susan and Alicia who are training too, I hope things are going just as well for you both. :)
